Hastings is a city in Adams County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 24,064 at the 2000 census and was 25,437 by the 2005 estimate. It is the county seat of Adams CountyGR6. It is known as the town where Kool-Aid was invented, is home to Fisher Fountain, and once operated the largest Naval Ammunition Depot in the United States. Hastings Senior High School is the main high school.
